Lana has been really good at capturing the sounds of the jungle and other videos aimed at reminding us of how very special it is here in the wild Amazon jungle. Highly unlikely we will be back to the jungle despite the fact it has been an incredible experience.
I thought it would be good to put Lana's videos in one place.
Plus, I would like to inventory as much of the flora and fauna I could as that might be interesting.

Video: WHAT DOES THE JUNGLE SOUND LIKE AT NIGHT?
Video: BIRD SOUNDS AND HOWLER MONKEYS AT 5 AM. That roaring sound in the background is a howler monkey. Very eerie and hard to believe an animal can produce that sound--they are the loudest mammal on the planet according to our guide.

Video: BUTTERFLIES on a plant outside of our room entrance. They were always there on that plant so it must be a food source.

Wow, we saw a lot of flora and fauna during our days in the wild jungle. I use the term wild jungle as Puerto Maldonado is in the Amazon jungle, but is 'civilized'.
